Hello, my name is Nuri. Today, I went to Geong-Hi_palace. Gyeong-Hi_palace is one of the five grand palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty in Seoul, South Korea. Constructed in the early 17th century, it served as a secondary royal residence for kings—especially when the main palace, Gyeongbokgung palace was in a problem. Today, I am going to talk about abotu the grades during the Joseon Dynasty. There were a huge diffrence between the King, which is the greatest part of the grades, and slaves, which was on a huge problem and did not had nobility. But lets see the grades of Joseon dynasty first. In the top, as you imagined was the king, witch controled the entire goverment and thus, having the most power. The next was the nobilitys, which was the people who managed to get accepted by the test caleed Guage.Their job was to support the king, so if king was young or timid, the nobilitys do not get loyal to the king and even rebel or fight for themselves. The next was a grade called Joon-Yin. The term Jung-in refers to the middle class of traditional Korean society during the Joseon Dynasty. Although they did not had coplete acess to the test of Guage entirely, they still can get into Guage and help the king. They normaly did jobs that we have today such as doctor,artist,etc. The next were Sang-Yin. I guess in this 21'th century, everything got equal by every person being Sang-Min in Joseon. They were people who were normal people but could not get their familys money, could not ged their familys grade. So the Sang-Min was usually faming, giving the money to the goverment by helping its economy. But they were still better than the last grade. It was slaves. Slaves were people who had to work for the upper grades with no money, have to work until the people who rules them to stop, it was terrible and brutal. Just as these was a huge problem not just in Joseon dynasty but all around the world. The greatest fate was the American civil war, by slave states and free states fighting each other by the stongest country spliting in two and the North almost about to lose. As Joseon still countinued this grade until being invaded by the Japanese. And when we were occupied by the Republic of the United States and the USSR(Soviet Union), since both of them were republics, this grade stuff came to an end. When I knew about these, I was great to live on the 21'st ceuntry, by having with equality. When we were born, it looked like having a lottery by having king or nobilitys or Joon-Ying or Sang-Ming or slaves. |
