Hello my name is Yuha. today I went to seodaemun Prison History hall. I'm going to talk about ¹«±ÃÈ and ¾Ö±¹°¡. I learned that ¹«±ÃÈ is the national flower of Korea and it means everlasting flower. In English, ¹«±ÃÈ is hisbiscuc or rose of sharon. This flower is called everlasting flower because this flower blooms everywhere in Korea and lasts longer than other flowers. The rose of sharon symbolizes patience and endurance. The ¾Ö±¹°¡ is Korea's national anthem. ¾Ö±¹°¡ means song of love for the country. Nobody knows who wrote the original lyrics of ¾Ö±¹°¡ but today's ¾Ö±¹°¡ is sung to the music composed by Ahn Iktae (¾ÈÀÍÅÂ) in 1937. The republic of Korea adopted this song as the national anthem after liberation from Japan. I felt very sad scared about people being put in jail and getting tortured but I felt very thankful for people who sacrificed them selves for our country.
