While learning about many kins of buildings systems and people’s liver from the Hanok Village, It lead me to this thought. “What if I was living in the Joseon’s time, what class would I want to be in, and what job would I want?” Before comming to Namsan Hanok Village, I always though that I would prefer to be a noble man if I was a person in Joseon’s time. However, I was wrong. I only thought about how rich and wealthy I could be. From the lessons in Namsan Hanok Village, I learned that Noblemen’s lives weren’t that easy. I even thought that it was ridiculous to act in discomfort in any situations even though the Confucianism was important to them. I used think that noblemen could do anything they want, but they couldn’t because of the strict Confucianism. Joseon is a Confucian country, they had so much ruled to follow, such as barely not washing, never looking down, walking slowly and even they had to have political marrige in young age. After learning about this truth, I felt that I would rather be a common people, maybe the middle classed merchant, so that I can live more freely. Joseon was a country full of nature and cultures to look around. So, I think that being a merchant and. Becoming rich would allow me to travel around Joseon and learn about many things from many people, nature and cultures.
