Today I learned about many events that occurred with Japan ruling our country. Fortunately, our freedom fighters worked hard to get our freedom back. So we got our independence back in August 15, 1945 which is exactly 80 years from today. So now I'll talk about March 1st movement which is the biggest freedom fighting movement.
March 1st movement is the movement that most number of people participated in. It started with Japan taking and making it to colony of Japan. Our ancestors stood up to resist. After knowing the death of Gojong, people called out the declaration of independence and the students and citizens started their march on the street. One of the most enthusiastic student was Yu Gwansun, the martyr. She was imprison after the march and called our our independence still in the prison. But she faced her death in the prison in 1920 one year after the March 1st movement. This march spread our to other countries too.
It was very meaningful to study about getting our independence on the day at 80 years aniversary of our independence. Thank you!!
